Nothing creepy about being inventive (-:

Ah, Dorte. Books and caffeine, soooo good. You must must have been so disappointed not to get a table, but then, you could have just browsed more, and brought more books while you waited.

Hi Debbie. I loved The Suspicions of Mr Whicher too, which is why I just had to buy the Victorian Murders book the moment I saw it. Me, impulse buyer, nooooo.Vanda Symonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09956034768397598056noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9219735658025200238.post-90230247642662962882010-10-22T12:26:45.283+13:002010-10-22T12:26:45.283+13:00It's always hard to resist temptation in books...It's always hard to resist temptation in bookshops and that Victorian mysteries book looks very interesting. I recently read 'The Suspicions of Mr Whicher' by Kate Summerscale about the Road House murder in 1860 and couldn't put it down. It's fascinating to read about the investigative skills and techniques applied at that time when Scotland Yard Detectives had just been introduced.

I really enjoyed Surrender as well. It's looks like you've got a line-up of great books there.Debbie Cowenshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07345631448431031295noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9219735658025200238.post-53136712953515427092010-10-22T07:39:22.277+13:002010-10-22T07:39:22.277+13:00We went to a nice coffee shop cum bookstore a year...We went to a nice coffee shop cum bookstore a year or two ago, but we had chosen the wrong week (our national autumn holiday) so it was impossible to find a coffee table :(

Wonderful idea, though. And a very interesting and creative murder, too...(I know - creepy of me...;-) ).Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
