You know you're procrastinating when...

...you've checked everyone's blogs for the day...

...you've checked them again, just in case someone has commented on one...

...you've done lots of loads of laundry, including resorting to washing quilts...

...the kitchen looks immaculate...

...as does the kids room...

...and you're looking askance at your desk...

...you've been down to check the letterbox...four times...

...you keep clicking the send/receive button on your email obsessively...

...you've written a few letters...

...and played with your new fountain pen, and your new bottle of ink...

...and then gone looking on Trade Me for more fountain pens, because that was so much fun...

...and before you know it... it's time to go pick up the kids!

...Another successful day writing...

Vanda - Ah, yes, those wonderful things we do instead of writing : ). My favorite is the one you mentioned about visiting blogs. I have to admit I'm a proudly guilty blog-hopper : ).

I hope you found something from me in your letter box. :)

New fountain pen and inks, hey? Happy to hear you're one of the illuminati now, Vanda.

Now whatever you do, don't start reading the Fountain Pen Network, and reading all the reviews of French and Japanese inks, fine German pens.

Yes, I'm the perfect model for a crime novel villain: Professor Moriartink.

By the way, Vanda, can you drop me a line? My email's on my website.

.... when you begin to write comments in the shape of short poems!

.... when you consider making a collection of fabulous word verification neologisms and include them in a story (emphyers - quite irresistible, isn´t it?)

Well, but I have been good for days! Comparatively good, at least.

That sounds like me except for the bit about the immaculate kitchen and kids' rooms.

me too I love to visit and join blogs! but then...Stop Procrastinating! That is one of the causes of a personal downfall. I agree with what you said and everyone goes through this at one point in their lives. It’s a matter of being able to pick yourself up and learn from the experience and move NOW.
