And yes Rachael, it is as exciting as getting #1! It looks very cool having two of your books, side by side on the bookshelf. It's also exciting because it's the solid, shiny, lovely smelling proof that you can do it again.
Ah, missed this. Oh Vanda you really are doing well to have silver letters. I asked for raised letters for The Blue and there was a bit of mumbling about costing more and it never happened. I am looking forward to seeing The Ringmaster in my bookshop. Might even run my hands over it. Congratulations.
The cover looks beautiful! Having it arrive at your door must have been an exciting moment, and I can only imagine how special it is to see your two books together at last. Congratulations and all the best!
And, Vanda, your name is FIRST - that means you are sooo up there. I'm one of the lucky ones to have read it - yes another very little sleep/house work/writing moment as the next Vanda Symon's novel is consumed. Your books should come with a warning: likely to disturb household rhythms. xx
When I'm not writing Crime novels I'm busy being a Domestic Goddess and queen of my household in Dunedin. I am the author of the Sam Shephard detective series, published by Penguin New Zealand. They are Overkill, The Ringmaster, Containment and Bound. My latest novel, The Faceless, is my first stand alone thriller.

Yay! Congratulations Vanda! Is getting #2 as exciting as #1?
A long and prosperous life to the new arrival!
