Was a big blow right enough. Noisy in our tin-roofed abode. I remember a reverberating, rattling flue - should have recorded it and launched in on a drumming career.
Fascinated by something I saw on Ch9 Dunedin - occasionally watch it here in Oz, esp Dougal's show. The peninsular woman who was interviewed (with enviable peaches & cream skin & beautiful diction) said it was maybe the fourth or fifth worst storm she'd experienced. When the wind blows my sense of measurement flies north!
When I'm not writing Crime novels I'm busy being a Domestic Goddess and queen of my household in Dunedin. The first in my Sam Shephard detective series, Overkill, was published by Penguin New Zealand in 2007. The Ringmaster was released in August 2008, Containment in December 2009 and Bound in February 2011.

Yep, it was breezy at our place too. I have a photo on my blog of the worst damage. :-)
Hope you are staying dry!
(Missed you the other night, it was a fascinating talk.)
