A birthday gift...

I celebrated a birthday this week, it was an even numbered one - which I always prefer for some odd reason, don't ask me why. I was thoroughly spoiled.

One of my favourite children's picture books is this... Cloudcatcher by Sue Wootton and illustrated by Carla Braun-Elwert...

One of my favourite pages in that book is this...

And look what I got... the original...(the glass reflections were tricky, so the colour didn't photograph so well)

Happy Vanda!

Thanks, guys, it certainly makes me smile. The perfect book present, without being a book!

Another year wiser...supposedly...

Hey Vanda
Thanks for for your lovely comments,I didn't expect that,I have been so taken with the process and potential of journalling and making sure that the pages I put up were simple, as to be achievable for others, I forgot people might respond to them in a different way. Shows where my head is that.
The journalling has been helpful for me as a tool to add into my toolbox,I feel really excited about it as I can can see where and what I could do with this for others in the right place. And yes valuable for me as I sit with Gary every two and half weeks for three days in the hospital when he has his chemo and it keeps me occupied.
I like looking at the outward business of your life as my is so contained at the moment.I saw a documentary on these jellyfish that live in salt water pond pond that is completely contained form other bodies of water and they float around and feed off algae and do their jelly thing.Thats me at the moment.
I like your Ngaio marsh listener..it would make a great ink jet print for the wall..ooohh a whole wall of different marsh portraits..:-.
Off to clean my NEW studio space..hurrah finally.
ciao pps HAPPY BIRTHDAY MONTH
